| Miss Maren Haas-Reasland: Maren is the Owner and Director of “The Next Step…Dancing with Maren” in Omaha, Nebraska. She has been dancing and performing since the age of 4. Through out her competitive dancing career Maren earned numerous awards. She also had the opportunity to perform aboard a Carnival Cruise Ship at the age of 7. Maren began her teaching career at the age of 14 instructing students of all ages. Her teaching curriculum includes Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical and Hip Hop. As an instructor and studio owner her students have received numerous High Point, Specialty and Overall Awards at the Regional and National level. These awards include Top Primary Studio, Top Secondary Studio, Top Intermediate Studio and Top Scoring Production Routine. In 2011 Maren’s junior small group enjoyed the honor and privilege of competing at the World Dance Championship Series in Dallas, Texas. She loves traveling all over the country with her dancers exposing them to instruction from different well known dance professionals. Maren’s dance studio has been ranked as one of the FDC’s Top 50 Studios the past 2 years in the Northwest 11 state region. In 2013, Maren's dancers won 1st Overall at Kids Artistic Revue National Finals in Toledo, OH. She has also worked with local theaters, dance teams and pom squads on technique and choreography. Maren loves traveling nationwide on the weekends as a judge for both regional and national dance competitions. She is continually inspired by the amazingly talented dancers, instructors and choreographers across the nation. Whitney Walsh: (Company Ballet Instructor & Company Leaps/Turns) Originally from Westlake Village, California, Whitney Walsh trained at the California Dance Theatre and performed leading roles with Pacific Festival Ballet. As a trainee with The Joffrey Ballet of Chicago, she danced in Alexei Kremnev's The Nutcracker Suite, Coppelia, and The Bluebird of Happiness, Gerald Arpino's Viva Vivaldi, and in origianal pieces by William B. McClellan Jr., Alexei Kremnev and Stefanie Batten Bland. Whitney spent summers training with the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago, American Ballet Theatre (New York), Houston Ballet and Kirov Academy of Ballet. Miss Whitney is currently a Company Dancer with American Midwest Ballet. With American Midwest Ballet Whitney has performed in Giselle, The Nutcracker and The Diner.
